The surrounding area
Nissan, a lively village with its some 3000 inhabitants, quickly becomes ‘home’ for our guests. Those who do not always wish to climb into their cars will find all their needs fulfilled, even on Sunday mornings. Bread, fresh food and vegetables, newspapers, chemist, bank with cash machine. Added to which, a small market three times a week. Nearby are the famous Oppidum d’Ensérune and the magnificent Canal du Midi (named by Unesco as a Patrimony of Humanity), which was opened to shipping on 15 May 1681.
